RUNWAY SLOT
13 AUGUST 14:00
I WAS MADE TO FROLIC
Reclaims the literal meaning of "outstanding in my field" — not achievement, but presence. A figure standing still. A cow, unbothered. Drawing from pastoral romanticism across Western and Asian landscapes — rice fields, slow rituals, worn cloth — the collection imagines a body no longer optimised for labour. Rooted in Singapore's culture of productivity-as-identity, it asks what remains when output is removed.
Patchwork, shirring, and sashiko run throughout — garments made, remade, lived in. Workwear softened. Silhouettes opened up. Stitches as time, repair as resistance. A love letter to a life that could be. A protest formatted as one.
