The state of in-betweenness after the end of a distinct moment in one's life before the start of another. A state of confusion and ambiguity that everyone has experienced after being stripped of what was once known and familiar. Within this collection, liminality is examined through the lens of heartbreak. Before one starts the process of grieving and moving on, we exist in a dreamlike state of denial, craving a nostalgia that lingers like a diffused fragrance. We float through the passage of time, we leave behind the skin of a past self, the way a creature sheds what no longer serves its becoming.
