This project is inspired by Laut Bercerita by Leila S. Chudori, which follows the stories of Indonesian student activists in the 1990s who were abducted and forcibly disappeared during political unrest. It reflects on marine decomposition as a metaphor for transformation, where the body returns to nature. The work explores growth after death, where disappearance still holds continuity, resistance, and rebirth.
